We want to see people before,during, and after these life interruptions.” This exhibit will illustrate a glimpse into the reality of those whose lives have changed, sometimes because of forces beyond their control, and how life continues unabated,despite these changes. To pursue a life free of repression, economic hardships and other, more personal reasons, many choose to move from their birthplace to start a new life. Some also move willingly for other reasons as well.
People move en-masse, in family units, or simply by themselves. Wars, political & religious conflicts, climate change, economic challenges, police brutality, urban violence, sexual prejudices and a desire for a better life caused great disruptions in people's lives. “The world today is constantly in turmoil. This exhibition will focus on the way life is drastically altered by unexpected changes in political, economic and familial circumstances.
